Kiambu County CEC in charge of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Dr Monica Waiganjo has praised the devolving of Agriculture to the counties.
Speaking in Wangige on Saturday during the opening of an agricultural exhibition organised by the Anglican Church, Waiganjo said that she is pleased by the bringing of agricultural services to the people.
"Devolving of agriculture will bring development in the counties. I am happy for what has been done so far," said Waiganjo.
ACK Mt. Kenya South Diocese Bishop, Rt. Rev. Timothy Ranji said that farming has reduced poverty and brought development in Kenya. He said that it is expanding the opportunities and farmers are enjoying the results.
"Farming is a gift that God gave man before and after he removed him from the Garden of Eden. So, I would like to urge you to put more emphasis on farming because it is life," said Ranji.
