The National Council of Churches of Kenya has urged Kenyans leaders who stand for peace and harmony.
The council in a letter led by the secretary general, Rev Peter Karanja urged Kenyans to take time and pray for the country during and after the polls.
He challenged Kenyans to speak out against persons who spread hatred or incite others to violence.
“Dear Kenyans, the elections will be Jeldine tomorrow and it is my prayer that your participation in the important exercise will be guided by the scripture ad recorded in Romans 12:18 which states this; If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone,” said Karanja.
Reminding Kenyans that only one winner will be announced for every elective position, he said the same is a reality that all must prepare for and therefore must maintain peace regardless of the outcome.
