Uasin County Gospel Ministers have urged President Uhuru to embark on uniting Kenyans who have been divided by the just-concluded presidential election.
Chairman Wilson Kurui said this will ensure Kenyans live together peacefully no matter their political affiliations.
"President Kenyatta should move with speed to heal and unite the country by reaching out to those who did not vote for him since Kenya is bigger than an individual," he said in Eldoret.
"He should also form an all-inclusive government. This will help to cool the political temperatures that are being witnessed in the country," he added.
He called upon all political leaders to urge their supporters to maintain peace and sensitivity when either celebrating a win or grieving after a loss in the elections.
“Let us celebrate or grieve peacefully without provoking each other," noted Kurui.
Kurui urged Kenyans to maintain peace and live harmoniously with one another as they used to, despite whom they voted for.
He eulogized Eldoret Catholic Diocese Arch Bishop Cornelius Korir as a hero and mentor on matters of peace and a friend of all gospel ministers despite their denominations.
"We pay tribute to our colleague and give our heartfelt condolences to the family, believers, and friends for this big loss. Bishop was a man of the people always smiling and blessing people with few words," he said.
