The African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) Limuru Parish moderator Stephen Ng’ang’a has condemned the wicked schemes perpetuated by fake pastors to exploit unsuspecting congregants.
Speaking on Sunday at Limuru town during a church service, Ng'anga said that the likes of Victor Kanyari, he of the fake healing miracles, is tainting the church.
He accused the self-proclaimed 'prophet ' of obtaining money from the congregation through fictitious miracles.
“Kanyari's fabrication of miracle evidences to lure congregation does not shed light on the church ministry,” said Ng’ang’a.
The false prophet has been on the spot over false testimonies to lure unsuspecting Christians into 'believing' he performs miracles.
Ng’ang’a also accused Kanyari of being biased and urged the government to take a stern action against him. He urged the congregation not to be vulnerable to Kanyari's greed by 'planting a seed'.
“The congregation should be aware of false prophets who are in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves,” added Ng’ang’a.
Kanyari's spate of exploitation has forced the Director of Prosecution Keriako Tobiko to order a probe on the false prophet for obtaining money by pretense.
Kanyari leads a self-instituted church, Salvation Church Ministries, and is the second 'pastor' to draw attention from the public after Pastor Gilbert Deya of the 'miracle babies' saga.
