A Kiambu pastor has condemned the recent Mandera attack by alleged Al-shabab militiamen where 28 people lost their lives.

Speaking on Sunday in Kiambu town during a church service, Pastor Reuben Njue of Restoration International Ministries said the attack inhumane and urged the government to conduct a massive

“The innocent killing of Kenyans by Al-shaab terrorists on Saturday is genocide and the government should heighten its operations against the terrorists,” said Njue.

Njue said that enough is enough and that government should do all it can at its disposal to eliminate the heartless attack on defenseless and innocent Kenyans.

He added that it beats logic to see a section of marauding criminals leasing terror and cutting short the lives of innocent citizens and walk scot free without being apprehended in accordance to the law.

"This is a sovereign state and its guided by the rule of law and nobody is above the law,” added Njue.

On Sartuday morning, allged Al-Shaab terrorists hijacked a Nairobi-bound bus and executed 28 passengers in a chilly dawn attack at Arabiya in Mandera County near Kenya-Somalia border.

The attack comes barely three weeks after 21 police officers were ambushed and attacked in Kapedo by Pokot cattle rustlers.

The clergy asked the government to beef up security at the porous Kenya-Somalia border as a long-term solution to the ever-present problem.

“The government should deploy more security officers at the porous border to contain insecurity,” said Njue.

Njue also sent condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for those who sustained injuries a quick recovery.
