A cleric attached to Thika -based Calvary Church has urged the government to beef up security in the country and urged Kenyans to pray for the nation.
Kariuki Ngari said that the government should do all it can at its disposal to tighten security in the county.
Speaking on Wednesday during a special service held at the church's ground in Thika town to pray for country's stability, Ngari urged the government to pursue the terrorists who are terrorising innocent Kenyans.
“The government should use its means to pursue the terrorists in their hideouts and flush them out,” said Ngari.
This comes after thirty-six quarry workers were executed by Al- Shaab terrorists in their camp at Koromey in Mandera County, where Somalia-based terrorists claimed responsibility for the attack.
Ngari urged the government to restructure the county's security machinery.
“The government should restructure the security organs to keep in tandem with changing trends in terrorism,” added Ngari.
He also prayed for the country to have stability and urged peace-loving Kenyans to join their hands to condemn the 'evil of terrorism' from hunting Kenyans.
He said that Kenyans have a role to play in the maintenance of security.
“The Kenyans should provide information to the government on the imminent attack so that the government can take the right action,” said Ngari.
Ngari said that the nation cannot progress when there is no stability and urged Kenyans to defend the nation.
He further sent condolences to the bereaved families during this difficulty moments.
