Retired Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Bishop Thomas Kogo has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga to dialogue. This, the former Eldoret ACK Diocese Bishop says will help calm the current political temperatures that were occasioned by the disputed August 8 general elections and the controversial October 26 repeat Presidential poll."As religious leaders we are tired of name calling and abusive politics. We want the two leaders to swallow their pride and engage in dialogue for the sake of the nation," said Bishop Kogo in Eldoret town."What's hard for the two leaders to come together and talk? They should agree to disagree since this country belongs to all of us," he added. The retired Bishop further asked the government not to target the opposition leaders but instead look for a way to engage them.He also challenged Kenyans to maintain peace and unity irrespective of their political affiliations and also seek for God's forgiveness. To be the first to get updates on breaking and trending news in Kenya, send your WhatsApp number to 074094990.
