Retired ACK Eldoret Diocese Bishop Thomas Kogo has welcomed the appointment of Joseph Nkaissery as the new Interior CS.
Kogo has termed Nkaissery as one who is capable of handling the security challenges facing the country.
At the same time he has asked Kenyans from all divides to unite and live in harmony amidst these turbulent times of deadly terror attacks.
"Security matters should not be used by some quarters to divide us. We all have a responsbility to ensure our country is safe. The opposition and government need to come together and condemn the senseless killings meted on our people but not to engage in blame games," said Kogo.
The cleric has also differed with CORD's call for KDF withdrawal in Somalia. He has instead asked NIS to pull up its socks.
"Withdrawing KDF is telling the enemy that he is welcome here any time. What we need is enough intelligence so that such attacks don't find us offguard," he said.
He said this yesterday in Eldoret town when addressing journalists.
