Clerics in Kisumu County have highly criticised their colleagues who are said to be demanding some bribes inorder to exchange with prayers.
The Kisumu Clergy Fellowship yesterday distanced itself from the group that has been offering prayers to the County Government of Kisumu for exchange of Money.
According to a statement that was released to the press yesterdan and signed by 7 Bishops, the clerics who were asking for money were doing it in their own individual and personal capacities and should be held accountable.
The statement read.."let it be known that the said clerics are not representing the fellowship but they are doing it on their own individual and personal capacities and they should be held accountable".
Pastor Patrick Owour who is the groups Secretary condemned the whole issue and said that asked them to stop doing it with immediate effect. "We condemn the whole practice which is being cultivated by the county government. I urge our Governor Jack Ranguma to seek prayers in the church and not to pay for it", Pastor Patrick Owour said.
Pastor Patrick Owour went ahead and urged the County and all the leaders to ensure that they respect their CORD principal Odinga since he was the father of devolution in the country.
Bishop George Okuta urged the leaders in the county to ensure that they wear the clock of humility and also to realise that they are in the offices to serve the humanity and also to understand the services of the humanity in serving God.
