A section of clerics in Nakuru County have urged the youths to be firm and not be misused by politicians to cause chaos ahead of the next year's general election.

Speaking at AIC Church after a Sunday service, the clerics stated that peace, love and unity are core values which this country requires in order to prosper.

“Most politicians are using all means to ascend to the power. Some of the ways include dividing the youths along the tribal lines. It’s time we say no to hatred as a community. Youths are mostly affected,” said Bishop Jackson Mutai

The cleric urged youths to support leaders with good morals and whose intentions are to unite the society.

“Youths are the majority in our constituency. They face lots of challenges, particularly employment. The youths should elect focused leaders who have the capability of solving their problems,” added Bishop Mutai.

The church resolved to consistently preach peace in communities ahead of the next year general election. 

The cleric urged the government and he opposition leaders to look for possible solutions of ending anti IEBC protests which has been witnessed in this country.
