The religious leaders further asked Kenyans to support the former ACK Archbishop in his new job.

Led by SUPKEM chairman Sheikh Adan Wachu, the religious leaders exuded confidence that Wabukala will deliver on his mandate as the new EACC boss.

“We have confidence in Wabukala and he has our support as he opens a new chapter in the fight against graft in this country,” said Sheikh Wachu when the group paid Wabukala a courtesy call at the Integrity Centre on Wednesday.

The religious leaders urged government agencies mandated to fight corruption to closely work with Wabukala.

According to the religious leaders, the war against corruption will be realized if there is close inter-agency collaboration among state agencies.

Wabukala was appointed the new EACC boss two weeks ago after being approved by Parliament.

The EACC boss says he is ready to spearhead the war against corruption.

In an interview on a local TV station on Sunday, Wabukala said he is willing to put his life on the line as he fights corruption.

“I am not afraid of corruption cartels and my agenda will be to make Kenya a corruption Free State,” he said during an interview on Citizen TV.
