A clerk at Kandara Constituency, Murang’a County, has been arrested Wednesday morning after being found in possession of ballot papers.
The clerk at Karumu primary school polling centre was caught with 252 ballot papers; 51 for governor, 103 for MCA, 49 for both MP and Senator positions.
The suspect identified as Beatrice Nyambura was in the polling centre when she looked anxious forcing police officers manning the center to inspect her and that is when ballot papers in an envelope were found stashed in her handbag.
Confirming the incident, Kandara OCPD Gregory Mutiso said investigations have been launched and once completed the lady will be arraigned in court.
