A boda boda operator is nursing injuries after a client bit off his left ear over Sh100 fare row in Lumama village, Kakamega County. Kamalila Achwanya told Radio Jambo on Monday that the client had hired him for a ride to Lumakanda to visit his lover.  They agreed on Sh250 fare. “When we came back, he refused to honour the agreement, instead giving Sh150. We started arguing. He grabbed me. In the struggle, he bit off my left ear before taking off,” Achwanya said.He was rushed to Lumakanda Hospital and later transferred to Webuye Hospital for further treatment. Eyewitnesses said the man may have swallowed the ear or gone away with it as it was not found at the scene. Residents said the attacker,  identified only as Andrew, has a habit of biting people’s ears and disappearing from the village. The villagers later seized the man and beat him up senselessly, leaving him for dead. He is in critical condition at the Moi Training and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.
