A clinical officer was stabbed to death in unclear circumstances and his body left on the roadside in Sentikumi area, Likoni.Likoni police boss Benjamin Rotich who confirmed the Sunday incident said the victim’s body was dumped near the ocean just two kilometres from his work place.According to Baraka FM, the deceased, identified as Patrick Kaimenyi, has been working at Stella Marris dispensary in Timbwani, Likoni for the last eight years.The police boss said Kaimenyi was stabbed 50 times in the chest and abdomen by unknown people as he was walking home on Saturday night.Rotich said investigations into the incident have been launched to establish the motive behind the killing of the clinical officer.“He was found at the road side at around 10pm. He had multiple injuries in his body. We have moved the body to Coast General Hospital for postmortem,” said Rotich, as quoted by the daily.Rotich urged members of the public to volunteer information that will help police arrest individuals behind the killing.The police boss said staff at the dispensary will assist in the investigation.
