Modern Coast Rangers produced a mouth-watering second half display as they thrashed visiting Bidco 3-1 in a National Super League match played at the Mbaraki Sports Club on Thursday.

Rangers came into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 loss against Vihiga United and given the opportunity, they did not hesitate to justify their favourites tag as they took the lead after just 56 seconds of the match courtesy of a David Orem goal.

However, 12 minutes later, the visitors pulled the goal back with Anthony Mbuthia being the scorer.

Despite the hosts' spirited effort to retake the lead, they could not penetrate the resilient Bidco defense forcing the match to go into the break at 1-1.

On resumption, the hosts continued to press their opponents who stood firm. However, the final 20 minutes proved to be the difference as former Western Stima striker Francis Ocholla finally overcame the stout Bidco back-line on the 72nd minute.

With only six minutes into the final whistle, the visitors' torrid afternoon was summed up as Athman Mzee sealed the win for the Mohamed Mchule-coached side after skillfully converting a delicious pass from a close range.

The win moves Rangers fourth on the log with 8 points after five outings as Bidco drops to eighth.
