Kisii political analyst George Omanga has said the close numbers in Kisii by-elections should worry Cord.
He said such a close margin in an ODM stronghold is ‘risky’ ahead of the 2017 general elections something that should worry the opposition.
Omanga said the opposition should not celebrate but find out how such a stronghold region could produce close ties.
“This is a place you are depending on in the general elections for a 100% support and if the margins is this close then a lot still needs to be done," said Omanga.
In Nyacheki, ODM garnered 2216 votes as Jubilee garnered 1173 votes something the activist still finds dissatisfactory.
“This would be a big boost for Jubilee in the 2017 general elections. Kisii should be sealing every loophole and ensure the regions votes as a block for Cord if Jubilee is to be defeated," he said.
