Harambee Stars failed to make it two out of two wins in the Cecafa Senior Challenge, after a barren draw against Libya on Tuesday evening.

In the match played at the Machakos Stadium, the Stars were not able to break down a stubborn Libyan defence, settling for a 0-0 score.

The Kenyan team beat Rwanda 2-0 in their opening match in Bukhungu on Sunday, giving Kenyans hope that they will reclaim their past years' success.

The match was not well attended compared to the opening match in Western Kenya, where some leaders including Raila Odinga were in attendance.

Coach Paul Put is however confident his boys are doing well and will progress to the latter stages of the tournament, having won one and drawn the other in their two opening matches.

Kenya now has four points, one ahead of Zanzibar while Libya and Tanzania have two and one respectively.

In an earlier kickoff at the Machakos’ Kenyatta Stadium, Zanzibar humbled ran 3-1 winners against Rwanda’s Amavubi Bees, inflicting them their second loss.
