The County Government of Mombasa has donated medical equipments to the Coast General Hospital, the largest public health facility in the county.
The county also seeks to renovate various sections of the hospital to give it a new look.
In a statement on Saturday, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho said that repairs are underway in the general wards and the maternity section.
"The on going renovations at the general wards and the maternity wing are progressing well," said Joho.
The governor also said that his government had procured several equipments which are currently being assembled at the facility.
"We have procured modern equipments currently being assembled at the hospital. They include patient beds, orthopedic beds, baby cots, stretchers among others," he added.
He said the county government is committed to providing affordable health care to the residents.
