Speaking during the event that went down at the Egyptian embassy in Nairobi on Tuesday, nominated Senator Emma Mbura said the machines will be sued to check the ever rising cases of infant deaths.

"Denying every child a chance to birth threatens the generational cycle of a poor life," said Mbura.

According to a post on her Facebook page, the hospitals that will benefit from the machines are Shika Adabu dispensary, Mariakani Hospital and Makadara hospitals in Kilifi and Mombasa counties respectively.

"Most children likely die before the age of 5, and I thank the Egyptian embassy for the support towards development of coastal counties," noted the Senator.

Egyptian ambassador to Kenya Mahmoud Ali Talaat reiterated his government's commitment to supporting health projects in Kenya.
