Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Odinga has said that the larger Coast region remains the coalition's home ground.
Speaking in Malindi on Friday, during the prayer rally for Kilifi Woman Representative Aisha Jumwa who was detained for four days along side seven other leaders over alleged hate speech, Raila said they are not scared of Jubilee's activities in the region.
The ODM party leader said that when he is at the Coast, he is home as the region is his stronghold.
"When I am here, I am among my people. We were here three months ago and based on the Malindi by-election, the situation on the ground has not changed," he said.
Raila said his opponents in Jubilee should be ready for another defeat in the region come 2017.
"They are the ones who should be worried," added Raila.
He further accused the Jubilee government of failing to deliver on its pre-election pledges to Coast residents.
"If he has not delivered within the three years he has been president, will he do it now?" Raila asked.
