Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro has said Jubilee is the only party with the interests of Coastal people at heart.
Speaking on Sunday at the historic Tononoka grounds during a Jubilee rally graced by Deputy President William Ruto, the legislator called on Mombasa residents to back President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection bid ahead of 2017 general election.
"I wish to appeal to each one of you to join and support Jubilee since it is the only party in the country that seeks to unite our people," he said.
"We hereby wish to extend our vote of thanks to the national government for the support given to our people," he added.
Mung'aro was elected on an ODM Party ticket in the 2013 general election, but he has since shifted allegiance to the newly formed Jubilee Party led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
Ruto, in the past four days, has been at the Coast, drumming support for Jubilee.
