Coast Stima FC have dispelled fears of loss of sponsorship ahead of their maiden participation in the FKF National Super League 2018 season.

Chief Executive Officer David Kambu says the club’s participation in the second tier FKF league is real.

Kambu was responding to concerns over a clause by that barred a sponsor from supporting more

“I wish to confirm, contrary to some skeptic sources that Coast Stima Football Club will participate in the FKF NSL 2018 season. We have been in consultation with the FKF National Office who have confirmed that they have no objection to our participation in the above league. In these times of dwindling sponsorship it would have been retrogressive to ‘’kill’’ a club simply because of multiple sponsorships,” he stated, as quoted by Futaa.com.

Kambe said that each team is a different entity with a different section and welfare and hence there is no conflict that would warrant for the disbandment of any team.

Stima will face their newly promoted counterparts Green Commandos at Bukhungu Stadium on February 11, 2018.
