This, he said, despite encountering resistance from a section of residents who attempted to block him from marketing his LPK party ahead of 2017 polls.

"We have concluded our successful Coast tour on a very high note in Kwale County, where we proceeded after Sunday service at Glory Worship Center, Mikindani," he said on his official Facebook page.

"We held a meeting in Ukunda for potential aspirants eyeing various positions across Kwale then took the party deep into the villages of Kinondo, Msambweni."

The Budalang'i MP has been on a tour of four counties popularising LPK.

Before landing in Kwale, he toured Busia, Bungoma, Kisii and Mombasa counties.

He also used the tour to campaign for LPK party's candidate in the Nyacheki by-election in Kisii.

Although his tour of Busia, Bungoma and Kisii counties was peaceful, he encountered resistance in Mombasa where youth attacked him accusing him of 'betraying' ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The attack happened in Jomvu.

Ababu has since blamed his opponents for the Sunday attack.
