Mombasa county deputy governor on Sunday expressed his pleasure after Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani (JKP) presented their concept to the French delegation currently in Mombasa.

Kingi said that as major stakeholders in developmental agenda he was happy that JKP shared their ideas with Frenchmen for a possible partnership in development between France and coastal counties.

“Being a major stakeholder in the developmental agenda of the coast, JKP got an opportunity to present their concept to the French Delegation attending the meeting,” said Kingi via his twitter handle.

The coastal governors also presented the JKP 14 sector blueprint concept note and urged the French embassy to join other organizations such as FAO in supporting the JKP agenda through standing by research in other sectors.

Hon. Kingi said that the French delegation assured the county of their support upon receiving their concept note.

“We hope that this partnership shall help further research in the remaining sectors,” added Hon. Kingi.

JKP is a union of governors of Coast Region with their main theme embedded in the development of the counties in the region.

The French delegation was led by Ms. Rosine Nzietcheng of the French Higher Education and Research Cooperation Attaché.
