A huge cobra snake disrupted a political rally staged in Yatta, Machakos County as it attempted to attack guests.
The leaders who attended the rally climbed on top of tables as screams rent the air when the unexpected guest appeared.
Chama Cha Uzalendo party leader Wavinya Ndeti, Secretary General Saja Philipe, organising secretary Davies Musau and Machakos County Assembly deputy speaker Nganga wa Ngangani had just taken their seats when the cobra appeared.
The locals swang into action and killed the huge snake using stones and sticks.
The CCU leaders had just opened an office at Makutano market in Ikombe ward about two hundred metres away before the incident happened.
The snake was later carried away and set on fire as the frightened guests and the crowd returned to the meeting.
The rally continued moments later as planned.
