A section of residents of Karamba-ini area in Ndumberi, Kiambu Sub-County have lamented over the deteriorating condition of the Karambaini-Ndumberi Road.
The road that leads to the Indian Bazaar Shopping Centre, they told journalists on Monday, has become impassable leading them to incur heavy losses in their coffee farming business.
They blame area MCA Ngugi Wuiru whom they say has never stepped in Karamba-ini since he was elected two years ago.
"He was last seen here during elections. This road belongs to the county government and the MCA needs to have done something because he is our representative there," Grace Wairimu, a farmer said.
"The other day my daughter got sick and when I went to pick a taxi in Ndumberi to take her to hospital, the taxi driver refused when he heard that I was from Karamba-ini," said Naomi Wambui, another resident.
Daniel Kinyanjui, a coffee farmer wondered whether their votes went to waste as things have remained as they were, and are even getting worse.
They add that even their children have been forced to be waking up at 5am as school vans cannot access the area.
