Antony Kiama, the sales manager of the business premises, told our writer that they have on this day sold more than 5,000 flowers and different types of gifts including cards, teddy bears and cakes.

“We have sold more than 5,000 flowers among other gifts to the numerous clients who flocked this premises and we have restocked our stores immediately for there are people who didn’t get a chance today and would wish to purchase them tomorrow morning as they travel to their loved ones,” Kiama said.

The manager said that the business heat started on Thursday evening as the hawkers in the area flocked his shop to buy stock expected to be sold all over the Thika streets on this big lovers’ day.

He said that he recalled the sales attendants who were off duty on Friday morning to ensure the clients are served as fast as they could to give room for more customers.
