Kisii county governor James Ongwae has challenged Kisii county youths not to demonstrate in the streets when they lament over certain issues in the county but to meet him for them to work together in finding the solution.
This comes after a week when Kisii county youths threatened to demonstrate to the county government offices lamenting for how contracts are given to other people leaving them behind.
According to Ongwae, it is not healthy for the youths to demonstrate in the streets but to meet to share and talk over what they need from the county government.
Speaking in Kisii town, Ongwae challenged youths to distance themselves from frequent demonstration against the county government.
“Come to my office if something has gone wrong instead of demonstrating in the streets we are all human being if your bring your demands a solution will be found,” said Ongwae.
Ongwae promised to do more development in his county as one way of fulfilling his pledges during the 2013 campaign.
