Lari Sub-county Deputy Police Commander Peter Ouko has put on notice armed criminals allegedly causing residents sleepless nights.
Speaking at his office on Thursday, Ouko said police have mapped out areas believed to be criminal playing ground, warning them that they would face the full force of the law.
“We have mapped out areas where criminals are hiding, we will flush them out,” he said.
He said that criminals will not be allowed to terrorize residents, adding that he has directed security officers to intensify patrols.
The commander said that they have enough mechanisms to deal with crime, further warning individuals and groups allegedly using teenagers to commit crime, saying they too, will not be spared.
He added that it is a crime for people to use teenagers as agents of crime, on the same note urging the youth to stay away from such groups.
The commander asked the young people to report cases where they are being forced to join criminal gangs.
Meanwhile, the deputy commander has lauded residents for cooperating with police on matters security, observing that they have been receiving information from the public that have aided in fight against crime.
He urged the public to maintain the cooperation and work with the law enforcers as they strive to maintain law and order.
