IEBC commissioner Roselyne Akombe has flown back into the country.
This comes just a week after her flight to New York that sparked controversy.
Although speculation was that she could not return to the country, Akombe touched ground Monday night to continue with her commission assignments.
She on Tuesday joined other IEBC staff at Bomas where she oversaw preparations of papers that were later to be filed at the Supreme Court.
According to the Standard, Akombe deliberately chose to be away from cameras because she didn't want to be the point of focus.
"Commissioner Akombe has been in the news for several days now and she thinks it’s not good anymore for the public's attention to be diverted to her instead of the commission," a senior staff of the commission said.
Her presence has since been confirmed by IEBC communications manager Andrew Limo."Commissioner Roselyne came back on Monday night and joined us on Tuesday; she was with us in Bomas," Limo added.
