Kisii county commissioner Mrs Kula Hache has been called upon to ensure that she puts measures to contain errant politicians in the area.
According to a nongovernmental organisation, African leaders initiative most of the politicians who hold rallies in Kisii County spread hate speech instead of talking on development matters that will take the county to the next level.
Led by the organisation's cheerleader Charles Mongio, they said that they want a peaceful county that can’t be easily polarised by politics.
“There are rising temperatures in the county and we would like the county commissioner to ensure that she curbs it for security to prevail,” he added.
Speaking at a Kisii hotel on Tuesday the group said that they are ready to help the government to ensure that they contain the situation before it gets late.
“The government should ensure that all politicians spreading hate among the residents are held accountable and arrested as we want development oriented leaders,” he added.
They called upon residents to ensure they help the security agencies in identifying those politicians who spread hate speech among the locals.
