Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru has commended police officers across the region for their cooperation and commitment to end livestock theft in Nyamira.

Nakoru stated that the security team has fought cattle rustlers tirelessly in Nyamira county. 

"It has been along journey fighting livestock theft in Nyamira. I wish to congratulate police officers especially those serving at Borabu Sub County for their efforts to fight and end cattle theft in the county. 

"The cooperation shown from all the security teams and other stakeholders has helped much to flush out the thieves from the county," he said.  

The county boss also lauded local chiefs deep in villages for being vigilant in reporting cattle thieves to police. 

"For the past few weeks we have not heard any case of cattle theft in Nyamira and this is because local chiefs and Nyumba Kumi officials have cooperated with police to arrest the criminals," he said.

He advised critics to keep off the work of the security officers in Nyamira county focus in uniting the residents of Nyamira and those from the neighboring counties such as Bomet, Kericho, Narok, Kisumu and Kisii.
