Naivasha Sub County Commissioner Abraham Kemboi has lauded residents for maintaining peace during the Easter weekend.

Briefing the press on Tuesday from his office, Kemboi said that no major incident was reported during the long weekend.

He said that police in the sub county had easy time conducting patrols adding that security will remain tightened.

“I want to salute Naivasha residents for maintaining peace during the Easter holiday,” he said.

The Commissioner asked residents to maintain peace and help the police with information that will aid in arrest of criminals.

Kemboi said that the government has enough mechanisms to deal with perpetrators of crime.

The Commissioner said the police will remain committed and will ruthlessly deal with criminal gangs.

The Naivasha Sub County Commissioner further appealed to residents to embrace Nyumba Kumi.

He stated that it will be important for residents to adopt and support measures being taken by the government on security.

Kemboi at the same time cautioned youths in the area against participating in crime. He also asked parents and guardians to report immediately on the whereabouts of their sons and daughters.

Kemboi said the information will help as the government strives to streamline security and deal with radicalisation.
