Mombasa County commissioner has lauded private security firms for their efforts in enhancing the county's security, particularly at the Likoni crossing channel.
Speaking during a security meeting with private security firms in Mombasa, Maalim Mohamed said the county will partner with private security firms to ensure security is beefed up at the channel.
He also praised the firms' efforts in maintaining security in all major buildings and institutions in the county.
"Private firms play a big role in supplementing the county's security efforts as they stand guard outside key buildings in Mombasa County,” said Maalim.
On his part, Winster Security Company managing director Anthony Ndegwa hailed the partnership saying it will improve security in the county, as checks by police and private guards will be well coordinated.
