According to Nakoru, the security team is committed to end crime in the region.

“Unnecessary protests will not help to end crime in the region. Police officers are working under tough instructions to ensure insecurity across the county comes to an end.

"Members of the public must stop using protests to taint the name of the hard working officers,” he said.

He claimed that local leaders who are out to incite residents to protest with an aim to pile pressure on Interior Cs Fred Matiang’i should stop before the law catches up with them.

“Some leaders should focus on service delivery to the people instead of facilitating unlawful protests. Residents should ignore leaders who are after inciting them to get political mileage failure to which the law will not bend for them,” he added.

Nakoru said more security officers will be deployed across the county to beef up security and warned local youths against joining outlawed gang groups.
