Limuru sub-county commissioner Alfred Makoma has noted that police will continue with their crackdown on errant drivers along the Limuru-Nakuru road.
The commissioner warned motorists against flouting rules, especially this festive season, saying that more traffic officers have been deployed along the road to deal with lawbreakers.
“More traffic police have been deployed along the Limuru-Nakuru road with the aim of arresting law breakers and reduce the number of road accidents,” said Makoma.
He also noted that no incident has been reported since the Christmas Eve, saying that they will always remain alert.
The commissioner observed that motorists take advantage of the festive season to flout rules, which end up causing tragic road accidents.
Makoma said that police are on high alert, and will extend patrols into the New Year, to ensure everyone is safe as they celebrate.
“Lawbreakers have no chance to cause havoc during this season, we have enough police deployed to estates and villages to maintain peace,” noted the Commissioner.
He further observed that police have been instructed to arrest any lawbreakers, and those they suspect as threats to security.
He asked Limuru sub-county residents to be each others keepers, and provide police with information that will lead to arrest of suspected criminals.
