Naivasha Sub-county commissioner Abraham Kemboi has warned criminal gang’s reportedly roaming the area and causing sleepless nights to the residents.
Speaking to the media in his office on Friday, Kemboi said that criminals will be dealt with accordingly.
He intimated that police are well prepared to deal with elements and acts of crime in the sub county.
“We want to send a warning to criminals that their days are numbered unless they surrender,” he said.
The commissioner indicated that security measures have been formulated to ensure safety of the residents.
Kemboi appealed to residents to support law enforces as they work tirelessly to maintain law and order.
He said that the public has a critical role to play in matters security and peace.
The commissioner observed that insecurity will be history if residents fully adopt the Nyumba Kumi security initiative
Meanwhile, a police officer is being held in Naivasha after his gun and 30 rounds of ammunition were mysteriously stolen.
The officer is said to have left the weapon in the house where it was stolen as he had gone out to buy milk from a local shop.
Confirming the incident, Kemboi said investigations have been launched and efforts to recover the weapon are ongoing.
Kemboi said that disciplinary action will be taken against the officer if he is implicated to have left the weapon carelessly.
