A stern warning has been issued to individuals inciting communities against each other in parts of Rongai and Bahati sub-counties.
According to Nakuru county commissioner Joshua Nkanatha who doubles as the Nakuru county security and intelligence committee chairman, those found inciting members will face the law.
While reacting to recent spreading of hate leaflets in Banita scheme, Nkanatha said that perennial conflicts caused by herders will be resolved once he holds a baraza in the area in the next three weeks.
“The National Land Commission (NLC) will be involved in the process that was abandoned halfway sometimes back. County government officials will also be involved in the process in order to ensure inclusiveness,” he said.
Nkanatha’s sentiments come barely two weeks after two MCAs were arrested together with seven other suspects after allegedly invading a disputed expansive parcel of land located in Ndungiri, Bahati constituency.
The nine were arraigned in a Nakuru court and were ordered to deposit Sh100,000 and be reporting to the local director of criminal investigations department office daily.
