Suba member of parliament, John Mbadi, has on Wednesday attacked IEBC commissioners particularly the 3 commissioners who resigned on Monday.
The leader of the minority in the National Assembly accused the commissioners of misusing funds in the 2017 August and October elections.
According to Mr. Mbadi, the electoral body overspent funds in running the last elections therefore incompetent and should never be trusted in handling elections in the country.
"Having a commission that is spending 42-49 billion is not justifiable in any jurisdiction," he said.
Speaking from parliament buildings, the legislator claimed that the three commissioners' resignation was driven by self-interest rather than public interest. He was also reacting to the fact that the three commissioners last year refused to resign ahead of the repeat polls despite calls from the opposition.
"When you look at those commissioners you realise we have very incompetent people running our electoral process. Last year they stood their ground now because of selfish interest they can quickly and easily resign," he added.
Mr. Mbadi also called for ways to get rid of the remaining commissioners whom he claimed to be criminals who are posing as managers.
"A method should be agreed on how to get rid of these criminals who have been masquerading as managers of our electoral process
