We can all agree that most men do not have the best eye for fashion and styling is just not a guy’s strength. Between providing for your family, keeping track of your favorite sports team, and being the best employee for your company there’s little or no time left to read a man’s lifestyle magazine to see what’s in style.

Wearing ill-fitting clothes

You are not fooling anyone by wearing oversised clothes to hide that beer belly. And don’t get me started on wearing clothes that are too tight/small for you. If your pants touch the floor or cover your shoelaces when you wear them, they are too long. If your sleeves are drooping over your shoulder, give them to a relative as a souvenir. Wrong fitting clothes are not a good look on a man.

Recycling a pair of jeans for too long

Once in a while, you’re allowed to wear a pair of jeans more than once without washing but don’t overdo it.But if you spend the whole day with your mechanic at the garage, there’s a high chance that your jeans will get dirty. If the hemlines and pockets look dirty at first glance, then the jeans definitely need a wash.

Wearing short sleeved shirts with a tie to the office

Wearing branded t-shirts to the office

We understand that you have that one relative or friend who works for a multinational brand. But just because you got some branded merchandise as freebies, it does not mean that you should rock these as fashion items. If it is not your company branded on that T-shirt, save it for the quiet weekends when you’ll be lazing around the house or doing some landscaping in your compound.

Wearing suits with excessive buttons

It is a serious fashion crime to wear suits that have more than 3 buttons. Excessive buttons on a suit make the jacket look like a shirt hybrid. Remember this suit buttoning rule: always leave the bottom button unbuttoned.
