Kibera is the largest slum in Kenya. People living in Kibera are mainly jobless who depend on daily domestic jobs around Nairobi city for their survival. Men in Kibera, unlike women come home late hours of the day for various reasons. This is something which is always causing fights among many couples around the slum. However, women should not be jumping into conclusions and accusing their husbands who come home late. Some have genuine reasons as to why they come home late. Here are common reasons Kibera men stays away from home till late:Working or overtimeAs mentioned above, many people in Kibera are jobless. Unlike women who sell foodstuffs and other home goods around Kibera, men go far away from Kibera in search for jobs. Men get jobs at far places and they have to work until they complete these jobs before coming home. Some work even for overtime so as to bring in some extra cash. StressLife in Kibera is not easy as some can imagine. Living in a slum itself is some sort of stress. When a man goes out looking for a job in but is unlucky to find any, this gives him stress on what he will bring home to his family. This can lead to stress and to avoid talking, he will prefer staying out late until he figures out how he will get a job the next day. CheatingRelationships infidelity is mainly caused by men. Men cheat more than women do. Kibera men, just like any other men around the continent do cheat too. These men have other women they spend time with until late it’s when they think of coming home. However, this is not true especially in a place like Kibera where both a man and a woman go out hustling for their daily survival. Men tend to stay away till late to avoid taking up responsibilities.
