Discuss what co-parenting entails

It is good to be on the same page with the dad of your child. Let him know what you want. Set a boundary that will limit your conversation to your child as that’s what you have in common. Give no chance to emotions just because you have a child together because, at the end of the day, it is all about the child. Explain to your baby daddy that co-parenting is possible if both of you can put aside your egos and pride for the benefit of the child. Do not use force when convincing him because it will widen the gap of disagreement.

Your relationship

Be clear to your baby daddy and let him know that he should not expect anything more. Remember he didn’t commit before you got pregnant, how sure are you that he will when you give him a chance again? If he has changed, let him pursue you but not the other way round. If he really wants to be part of your life then nothing can hinder him.
