There was a brief commotion at the entrance of the Supreme Court in Nairobi, as Kenyans awaited the petition on presidential election, Friday morning.

NASA leader Raila Odinga, his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula were gaining entrance to the buildings, when police blocked their bodyguards who were trying to gain entrance, alongside their bosses.

Leaders such as Chris Wamalwa, Ali Hassan Joho, Johnston Muthama among others, had also accompanied the principals, creating a huge crowd around the Supreme Court gate, at around 11:05am.

The bodyguards 'forcefully' tried to enter, forcing the police officers to intervene, and block them, an incident that stirred commotion, also blocking the media from accessing the Supreme Court buildings.

The security bosses manning the gate further warned that persons entering, should show special badges, before being allowed to enter.

Raila and fellow leaders further accessed the courtroom, leaving out the bodyguards.

"Anybody who is not inside the court, should not be around here. After the ruling, everybody should go home," one of the security bosses told journalists.

The judges later arrived at around 11:21am, where the session to issue the verdict, started.
