There was a commotion in parliament during the State of the Nation address.

This is when Members of Parliament scrambled for a chance to greet President Uhuru Kenyatta after the address.

The commotion occured when the Head of State was making his way out of parliament.

President Uhuru was greeting MPs who were seated on the front row of parliament among them Majority leader Aden Duale and Minority leader Junet Mohammed.

Hell broke loose when MPs who were in the back rows tried to shake Uhuru's hand.

President Kenyatta's address was based on development and National unity.

"Let us as leaders learn that we can criticise one an each other constructively, let us teachour fellow Kenyans to adore hard work, teach to preserve the unity of this house calledKenya.We need to change so our children can grow in a different Kenya - Our ethnic identity doesnot need to be our political identity," he said.
