Governor Jama's leadership has once again come under sharp criticism, this time from the Marehan community. The community faulted the governor's leadership, saying it has failed to deliver basic services to the public.
In a meeting held on Sunday, the community elders and leading businessmen disclosed that the county leadership needed a different administrator unlike the incumbent Jama, who has not delivered to their satisfaction.
"The current leadership has failed us. We need to take action, and the action is nothing more than doing away with the current leadership," said a community elder.
However, what came out from the meeting is the fact that the community opted for Ali Bunow Korane as their favourite in the gubernatorial race, with Aden Duale being endorsed for the Township legislative position.
This is not the first time Jama leadership is being placed on the spot. In the past, the current leadership has been criticized for failing to conclusively deal with water situation in the region and rampant corruption in the county executive.
