Kenya Social Congress leader Atati Kengere has urged the national government to ensure Gusii IDPs are compensated before the next general election for transparency.
Kengere alleges that a section of IDPs from different parts of the country have been compensated leaving out victims from Gusii.
“In Gusii region there are many PEV victims who have not been compensated and our appeal to the government is to hasten the compensation process before the next polls,” said Kengere
He also urged the government to re think and withdraw KDF troops from Somalia since some have lost their lives.
“Our KDF solders have been in Somalia for long and a time has come when the government should rethink about them and withdraw them from the country,’ he added
He was speaking in Kisii Town on Wednesday where he also urged locals toe elect sober and development conscious leaders.
