Bonchari Member of Parliament John Oroo Oyioka has now pleaded with both the National and Kisii County Government to compensate Suneka area traders whose business premises got razed down by fire on Friday.
According to Oroo most of the traders are traumatized with the event after they lost properties worth millions of shillings.
Speaking on Saturday when he visited Suneka area, the MP said that he will ensure they are compensated.
"I have asked the area chief to come up with a list having the names of those affected by the fire incident. From there i will try push for compensation from the National amd county governments," he said.
The MP pledged to give the traders Sh 20,000 as they await for assistance.
On Friday, fire razed down propeety of unknown value at the Suneka market.
So far the police have not established what was the cause of the fire.
