Deputy President William Ruto has called National Super Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga against linking education CS Fred Matiangi to politics.
This is after Odinga claimed that the Interior CS was being used by Jubilee to rig the August 8 elections.
“Let them compete with President Uhuru Kenyatta and I,”he said on Wednesday during the commissioning of the 11.3km Changamwe-Mariakani dual carriageway.
According to Ruto, Matiang’i, as leader of the Interior ministry, has the right to discuss elections security with Chebukati.
“Matiang’i is not politicking. We have enough people to politick for us,” said the DP.
Ruto also said the Opposition is unsure of their preparedness for the August general elections.
