Speaking during a Sunday service in Solai, Subukia MP Samuel Gachobe called on the public to only use the official pay bill number 10000.

“We want the public to know that we only have one official pay bill number which is 10000 account name Solai. Those going around with other pay bill numbers should be warned,” he said.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Subukia businessman Simon Ngugi Muigai who also joined other well-wishers in donating goods to the affected families.

While condoling the affected families, the Subukia businessman said individuals should not take advantage of the tragedy to extort money from the public.

He also called on environmental bodies to ensure they carry out inspections to the other dams remaining in the area.

“We are calling on the Environmental bodies such as NEMA and WARMA to play their roles very well and ensure inspection of the remaining dams to avert such tragedies,” he said.

The leaders spoke in Solai during a Sunday Service for the families affected by the tragedy that led to the death of over 40 people.
