Amina also said the animosity will take centre stage in next year’s meeting of the East African Community (EAC) Heads of State summit.
In her letter through the Tanzanian High Commission to Kenya, the CS complained of harassment of Kenyan business people operating in Tanzania and the many trade hurdles instilled by the country on Kenyan products.
Tanzanian President John Magufuli earlier this week said he was unapologetic over the auctioning of over 1000 heads of cattle from Kenya, saying that the cattle trespassed into Tanzania.
Magufuli said Tanzania's government was mandated with protecting the country’s environment and parks to attract tourists and that they would continue doing so at all costs.
“And in that line, those who sneak with their livestock into this country will not be spared. We will confiscate them and do to them according to what our laws instruct,” said Magufuli.
